1984 Epiphone Riviera Antique Natural
With Oasis recently reformed, unleash your inner Mancunian with this '80s, Matsumoku-made Riviera!Ā
Dating to '84 and within a few serial numbers of a Sheraton from the same year we recently had, this example exudes mojo and character. Made in the fabled Matsumoku factory in Japan, these are built in a similar way to that of an ES-335 and were made famous by both Noel Gallagher and Bonehead. This one has had its original pickups replaced with a Tim Shaw humbucker in the neck, and a Seymour Duncan Alnico Pro-II in the bridge. Besides the pickup rings, the rest of the hardware and electronics appear to be correct.Ā
Cosmetic condition is okay with minor dinging, scratching, and scuffing throughout. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. Includes what appears to be a period-correct Epiphone hard case.Ā
