1994 G&L LB-100 Black

1994 G&L LB-100 Black

A no-nonsense P-style bass from G&L!

G&L was one of Leo Fender's later companies, established in 1979 with initial manufacturing taking place in Fullerton, California. Continuing on Fender's previous work, G&L continued to improve on Leo Fender's designs, making some of the most rugged and well-built guitars around.

The LB-100 from G&L is a P-style bass with all the hallmarks of the iconic model. Alder body, maple neck, P-bass style split pickup, and a straightforward volume and tone control interface. This particular example is a nice balanced weight and has a super punchy sound. Stamps in the neck pocket and bass of neck, as well as serial number range indicate this model was built in October of 1994. Fit and finish on these examples is also rock solid, and super dependable. US made and in the Fullerton to boot!

Cosmetic condition is reasonable with minor scratches and swirl marks throughout. At some stage the pickguard has gotten a bit of sun exposure and has faded the guard, leaving behind the outline of a sticker. Hardware is fully functional, and plays beautifully with a low action and a recently installed set of Ernie Ball Bass Super Slinky strings. Includes the original hard case.
