2021 Squier Classic Vibe Bass VI Black
One of our favourite oddities from Fender's catalog, the Bass VI was introduced in 1961 and offered players an interesting hybrid-playing experience, falling somewhere between a bass and a guitar. In recent years original examples have sky-rocketed in price, but thanks to Squier, this model is still in production!
Featuring a 30" scale length, poplar body, and maple neck with Indian laurel fretboard, these examples from Squier are a nice weight and surprisingly resonant. Each individual pickup can be independently engaged, as well as a bass-cut switch which makes for some very '60s, honky tones. At some stage, it appears this example has been modified to have strap lock pins.Ā
Cosmetic condition all-round is good, with only only swirl marks and minor scratches present throughout the body.Ā
Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium action.Ā
