Late 1960s-70s Kawai Sen Sunburst
After the acquisition of Teisco by Kawai in 1968, models emerged very similar to their Teisco counterparts, often times lacking any discernible branding, model, or serial numbers. This particular example, nicknamed 'Boogie Disease' by its previous owner is a three-pickup version with what appears to be a handful of modifications made. Notably a moved strap button, changed output jack and the addition of a different screw on the pick-guard appear to be the most obvious. We also suspect the tuners had been replaced at a later date. Super funky electric from a prolific period in Japanese instrument manufacturing!
