Roger Mayer Axis Fuzz (Second-Hand)
Out of this world fuzz tones from Roger Mayer!
Originally developed in 1967 for Jimi Hendrix no less, the Axis Fuzz featured on many of Jimi's later recordings and has since gone on to become one of the most sought after fuzz circuits around. These use a discrete circuit configuration featuring PNP and NPN transistors. The result is a fuzz circuit that is much more temperature stable, as well as free from radio interference. It also looks a bit like a futuristic space craft, which is pretty neat!
Cosmetically this example is in excellent condition with little to no enclosure wear. We've noticed this unit when maxed out runs below unity volume. Sounds awesome, but we're not sure as to whether this is a feature correct for these units. Hardware and electronics are functional. No box included.Ā
