If youāve ever chased that iconic Strat clean bell tone without the hum, the Tonerider Apex Classic delivers. These noiseless-style pickups are built to give you the shimmering clarity, quack in positions 2 & 4, and sparkle of a classic ā50s/ā60s Strat... but without the single-coil hiss!
What makes them special:
- Twin-coil design gives full vintage Strat character, but cancels hum thanks to how the coils are arranged; no metal plates blocking magnetic circuits, so you retain clarity instead of getting that harsh nasal edge.
- Low-profile height (ā 20 mm) so they fit vintage and modern Strat cavities without routing.
- Wound to match the polarity used in many humbuckers, soapbars, P90s etc ā so phase-matching with other brands is easier. If needed, you can swap start / finish wires to correct phase.
- Uses standard Strat covers (not tall custom ones), plus comes with deep pearl white nylon covers.
- Includes two styles of screws (panhead + countersunk) so you can mount cleanly regardless of what pickguard your Strat has.
