1950s Otwin No. 72 Classical
A gorgeous, German-made classical from Otwin!
Founded in Schilbach in 1886, the Otwin company manufactured a wide array of instruments all the way until its closure in 1973. Alongside making some really incredible archtop instruments, they also manufactured introductory classical models such as this example.
A bit smaller in size than most classicals with a 24.5" scale length, this Otwin has a beautifully delicate sound. Not a tonne of volume, but quite impressive note separation and clarity. Doesn't appear to have had any work done, and plays quite well all things considered. 12th fret is a bit hairy, but is otherwise playable throughout.
Hardware is functional, and plays with a low-medium action. Includes the period correct pasteboard case.
